Perceived School Experience of Children and Adolescents With Type 1 Diabetes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Background and objective: Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is one of the most common chronic diseases in children globally affecting more than 1.2 million worldwide. It challenging to manage adolescents, as it can have much serious psychosocial impacts these groups. The objective this study was investigate perceived experience adolescents with T1DM regarding management their condition while school. Methods: We used a cross-sectional design descriptive statistics non-probability consecutive sampling work. This conducted at Department Pediatrics, Qassim Armed Forces Hospital, Al-Qassim, Saudi Arabia, from July 2018 December 2018. In study, we included 84 school-aged various schools region Kingdom Arabia who had met inclusion criteria. After obtained written informed consent participants, they filled out survey questionnaire about school being patient. Results: Although believed that were not prevented managing school, also personnel did adequate knowledge diabetes. Conclusion: mixed perceptions
